Let me explain you a thing.
When I say I adore Misha Collins, I don’t mean because he’s attractive or funny (though that comes into it), I mean because he is a genuinely nice person.
I was at Asylum 10 this weekend, and for Misha’s autographs he wasn’t allowed to personalise things because of time constraints which is fair enough. However, when I was getting mine, I managed to blurt out (I mean it I was shaking really hard) how important it was to meet him, as Asylum 10 was a goal for me not to kill myself.
The second I said that he stopped writing and looked up at me, and his response was:
“You need better goals.” I almost laughed but I was really trying not to cry, so I responded with:
“No. I don’t.” At this point, he reached across the table and grabbed my hand, pen still off the paper. He looked up at me, shaking and almost crying and smiled and said the simplest thing. At this point he let my hand go.
“See you next year?” I nodded, I was shaking really hard and I picked up the picture and went to leave, but he grabbed my hand again and pulled me back a little. He asked for my name and then wrote what it says on the top left hand corner. He squeezed my hand and smiled and then let me go.

Shoutouts

winchesterandwinchester:

To Jared Padalecki for giving an incredibly real, broken, exhausted, sick, thread-bare performance; for blowing us away with every scene.

To Jensen Ackles for breaking our hearts with the honest and heartbreaking portrayal of a man who was beyond desperate to save his beloved brother.

To Misha Collins for always making us smile by delivering Cas’ ever-so-blunt lines with an innocence that only he can produce. And for taking an immensely complicated character and making us believe in him.

To Mark Sheppard for playing the perfect villain who always toys with the line of making us love him and hate him; for showing a subtle honesty and humanity that we’ve never seen before.

To Amanda Tapping for making us hate Naomi but then believe in her. I will personally miss the very complex and unique character.

To Osric Chau for always being so challenged in Kevin’s desperation and hopelessness.

To Curtis Armstrong for the quick and seamless turn around from trust to mistrust. For a character who, within three episodes, showed us something new.

To every single person who works on Supernatural, from the highest ranking cast member to the ‘lowest’ ranking crew member. Thank you for producing a show that we get lost in; a show that we laugh and cry with; a show who’s characters are so raw and real that we can’t help but feel our heart break with them.

Shoutout to you all. You’re absolutely awesome.

"I’m frankly surprised by the show. There’s stupid things - there’s - sorry people who write the show and everybody who works on it and everything, but there’s stupid things on the show that they shouldn’t do. Like, why do they have to say “bitch” and kill all the women? You know? Because there are certain small ways in which the show is sort of gratuitously misogynistic when it doesn’t need to be. When I read the scripts, I cringe sometimes. Yeah, there’s a million other things you could say, you don’t need to do this. Or, um, you have killed every other female character who had more than a two-episode arc. Do you have to take this one? Charlie’s still around! Although she’s not a threat to the boys as a romantic interest because she’s gay."  - Misha on the misogyny of Supernatural (via strangepicturesofmishacollins)
