"

I’m not one to lecture
How could I dare
Someone like me who’s been mainly nowhere
But in my experience be as it may
You just have to love who you love
You just have to love who you love

Your common sense tells ya best not begin
But your fool heart cannot help plungin in
And nothing and no one can stand in your way
You just have to love who you love
You just have to love who you love

People can be hard sometimes
And their words can cut so deep
Choose the one you choose love
and don’t lose a moment’s sleep
Who can tell you who to want
Who can tell you what you were destined to be
Take it from me

There’s no fault in lovin
No call for shame
Everyone’s heart does exactly the same
And once ya believe that, you’ll learn how to say
I love who I love who I love
So just go and love who ya love

Rufus Sewell as Robbie Fay in A Man of No Importance.

Just watched A Man of No Importance. Such a lovely, lovely movie! I don’t regret buying this at all. Not a whole lot of Rufus in it, but Albert Finney is absolutely wonderful and the movie itself is just great. (Also glad I’ve watched Wilde before; it makes a whole lot more sense when you know about Oscar Wilde’s life since there are a lot of references.)

Overall, just…

Well, it’s out of print and only on VHS (unless it’s on DVD in the UK? Idk, if it is it’s not in the format for my region) so you pretty much have to get it second-hand. However, you can get it from Amazon in the used section. Right now there are actually some new but they’re around $50, yikes.

The main reason I was holding out was because I’m a little wary of buying things used, but hey, if that’s what I gotta do, that’s what I gotta do.

Well, I finally just ordered a copy of A Man of No Importance. Went for the one described as “Used - Like New” instead of all the ex-rental ones in “Acceptable” or “Good” condition. When I get it, I’m going to try to copy it onto a DVD so I don’t have to worry about the VHS deteriorating. So yeah. Yay for Amazon gift cards!

I’ve been wanting to see this one for a while. Bby!Rufus!
